Year 1 to 13 – Fostering Partnerships with Whanau/Families
OAS remains committed to establishing and maintaining strong links with our Whanau/Families. We continue to look for the best ways of establishing and sustaining connections with our stakeholders. We are also looking at the types of information our stakeholders want and need and the manner in which that information is conveyed and received.
When it comes to sharing information and generating discussions around the progress of our students, we currently use our Goal Setting Conferences in Term 1, Interim Reports, Mid-Year Reports and an End of Year Report with parent/teacher evenings following the Mid-Year reports.
We also have a fortnightly reporting system for students in Years 9 and 10. This is new for 2016 and will replace the Interim Reports for Years 9/10.
As always, you are welcome to contact individual teachers directly if you would like to discuss your child’s progress. Either contact the office to leave a message for the teacher or email them directly – email addresses can be located on the school website

- By the middle of each term parents/ caregivers will receive a basic interim report around Conduct (behaviour), Progress (Academic) and Effort.
- We hold Goal Setting Conferences in Term 1
- We hold subject teacher conferences in Term 2 and Term 3 to discuss the progress of our students. It is important for students to attend these conferences.
