​The PTA would like to welcome all students and their whanau and caregivers back to school.  This year we would love to see an increase in members. N.Z.P.T.A.. MISSION STATEMENT 
 
To work within the education system to encourage parent/whanau involvement and participation to assist all children develop their talents, self-esteem and character to ensure they have the ability to lead a full and productive life. 
 
OXFORD AREA SCHOOL PTA's ROLE WITHIN SCHOOL:

• Foster co-operation and understanding between school and home
• Liaise between the Board of Trustees, staff and parents
• Enable parents and teachers to discuss trends in education, and the aims and activities of the school
• Enlist the support of parents to contribute to the welfare and organisation of the school and the children attending

P.T.A'S ACTIVITIES IN SCHOOLS 

• To consult on school issues 
• To give parents/caregivers a voice within the school 
• To carry out fundraising ventures 
• To purchase goods/services with fundraised money 
• To host social occasions 
• To be involved in parent education 
• To hold parent-based discussions on relevant topics
