Terms One and Two Programme
late January to late June

Rock Climbing

Rock Climbing

Using indoor climbing walls and natural rock formations. This module includes a three-day expedition.

White Water Kayaking

Instruction begins in pools, with video analysis, and moves to local rivers. A three-day expedition is included.

Multi-Activity Programme

 A four-day camp at Hanmer Springs, which includes mountain biking, rock climbing, tramping, camping and kayaking. Students learn leadership and risk management skills. 

Tramping and Sea Kayaking

Abel Tasman National Park

Leadership at Junior Camps

Junior Camps

Lake Lyndon or Peel Forest. Skills taught can include orienteering, tramping, mountain biking, skiffing, rafting, high ropes, cooking, basic camping.

Golf

Includes two sessions with golf professional, a driving range session and games on local courses.

Tramping

A three-day tramp based at Arthur’s Pass National Park.

 

Terms Three and Four
July to December

Skiing and Snowboarding

Skiing & Snowboarding

Weekly half-day, mid-week programme for Term Three, including coaching from beginners to racers. Weekend passes available.

Golf Programme

Physical Education programme with instruction and games. Two sessions with professional golf instructor and driving range session included.

Leadership at Junior CampsJunior Camps

 Three-day camps at Mount Hutt Retreat or Craigieburn or Mount Hutt Ski Area or Orton Bradley Park. Skills include orienteering, challenges, camping, mountain biking, archery, Canadian canoeing, high ropes, body surfing, wind surfing. 

Mountaineering

Five-day residential programme with skills, instruction, snow mounding and a mountain climb.

First Aid Course

With an accredited provider.

Expedition

Expedition

Between three and seven days. Can include kayaking, cycling, tramping, mountain biking, horse riding, Canadian canoeing.

Mountain Biking

Basic skills training followed by weekend expedition.

 

Holiday Programmes for
April, July, October and December holidays

Equestrian

Based at Kowhai Riding School. Programmes for beginners to experienced riders including learning to ride, dressage, show jumping, cross country, guided trekking.

Burnham Military Camp

Burnham Military Camp

Leadership and Adventure-Based Learning. Three to five days. Includes high ropes, abseiling and challenge activities.

Boyle River Outdoor Education Centre

 Five-day residential, adventure-based learning and leadership camps, including high ropes, abseiling, orienteering, rock climbing.
